My War
I am blind to the good of this world
I can’t see the diamonds in the rough
I can’t tell the gems from the worthless stones
I can’t see worth in the garbage that chokes me
There’s so much
That I’ve drowned in it
It made me twisted
I became the monster in your dreams
And I am the monster in mine
I fight the courageous
And lose to their strength
I fight the weak
And lose to their resolve
I fight the innocent
And lose to their will
I fight myself
And see the monster winning every time
I am my worst enemy like no one else can be
But I will still fight
Even if I lose the battle every time
Because there is still a war
And I can fight
I can still take this beast again and again
One day I will succeed
Win with my own strength, resolve, and will
But for now I will wait
And fight
Until the day I win my war
