Easy Lover
Easy Lover
The solid core of an unopened book
Beacons to me with a sensual look
What wonders will be mine
When I open that spine
I cannot presume to guess
God, what an easy lover a book would make
I feel the dry pages of that old novel
The never ending pleasure of which it’s a model
I lick my finger slowly and motion for more
Undressing the next page of classical lore
The naked outline- uninhibited and open
God, what an easy lover a book would make
The caressing of pages in loving manner
One rip of the page- my heart would shatter
Cherished and reputable in both books and men
Sometime one and the same I pretend
They both widen my mind and leave me breathless
God, what an easy lover a book would make
