As If The World Would End Tomorrow
Standing hand in hand, on a bridge over the gently flowing stream
We talk and laugh and believe we are the only ones on earth
We joke and play and dance as if no one was watching
And we love and kiss as if the world would end tomorrow
Walking arm in arm, on a path weaving through a tranquil forest
We explore and discover things we’ve never known before
We run and jump over every obstacle as if it means nothing
And we love and kiss as if the world would end tomorrow
Sitting side by side, on a bench by the beautiful rivers edge
We speak and discuss our dreams and goals, as if we can conquer them tonight
We confide and bear our souls to one another, as if all must be told now
And we love and kiss as if the world would end tomorrow
Standing back to back, on a bumpy road stretching in two different directions
We study and gaze at the different paths set before us, as if we realize this is the end
We weep and suffer at the thought of parting, as we understand our journeys must be traveled alone
And for the last time, we love and kiss as if the world would end tomorrow
