Just There
She was center stage
Spotlight gleaming
Bright and glorious
Pivoting like a carousel
The best there was
The audience loved her
Red roses and applause
She was the star
And we were just there
We were the extras
Who wasted her air
Glaring with envy
We always just stood there
We worked just as hard
But got nowhere
Always left in the dark
With not one stare
All of the practices
For the back row
While she took center stage
Without a care in the world
She would forever remain
Glued to her pedestal
For she was the star
And we were just there
