Summer is Forever.

It's alright,
I'm okay,
Isn't that what im supposed to say?

A spark of light,
A twinkling eye,
A child spots
A fire fly.

A small hand in the darkness,
And she wishes that the kid could see
The little bug more easily.
Like she sees that boy,
Summers past,
And remembers that day
That always lasts.

A betrayal,
It's all unfair,
Lies and cheats,
Ahe doesn't care
Cause when that friend lets her down,
That boy is there.

All those times she couldn't see,
I'd hate to mention, that girl is me.
He was there and so in love,
She found more magic in a lightning bug.

And so he waited summer's past,
For her to realize all at last,
He has been there all this time,
Listened to her, let her cry.

A game of soccer,
A scraped knee,
A cry for help,
A beg,
A plea.

A game of soccer,
A boy,
A girl,
A hug,
A kiss,
A magic world.

A can of pepsi,
A wild cherry twist.
A boy with his hands on
A girl's hips.

A set of twelve hot buffalo wings,
A tabletop where teenage girls sing.
A pop sensation,
Your average girl.
The love of her life,
A summer world.

The lights go down,
The crowd leaves.
The boy,
The girl,
The world at ease.

Inevitable love,
Day in, day out.
This is real.
She says, no doubt.

Bare feet hit the cold wet grass,
A quiet hug that's meant to last.
She screams "i love you"
Just cause its true,
He screams back "i love you too."

A bike ride home,
In the dark.
Head in the clouds,
Her heart feels a spark.
That boy is special,
He's always there,
she's never alone,
he always cares.

No questions asked,
No reasons why,
Summer love will never die.
