Friday Night Lights

You wake up feeling happy and bright,
Knowing tonight you'll see the Friday night lights.
You go to school with the the game on your mind,
Hoping your team won't fall far behind.
The evening comes quick and the game's about to start,
The shouting and the lights send chills through your heart.
Halftime is over and the end of the game is near,
The final pass is thrown and all the fans cheer.
The buzzer goes off and the home team grins,
And for the rest of the night we will celebrate the win.
