Our Eternity
You blink and another eternity ends, I watch as another begins.
I swear time stops whenever I feel your lovely, velvet lips.
Before your love, my tissue paper heart was left tattered on my sleeve.
I'll never understand how perfect strangers caused me so to bleed.
And somehow, by God's grace, you stayed with me through the pain
When other millenniums and centuries tried to steal my heart in vain.
It's not your fault you were also charmed, her eyes spoke of oceans divine,
But miraculously you rose up from the deep and returned to me and mine.
I knew we'd once again rule, my love. Our bodies are one heart, one soul.
My darling, we control the ages, and forever's where we'll go.
