Sensations
Grass crunches beneath my feet
I run toward my destination.
Then quickly, I bound to the seat.
With each push I become airborne .
I feel the wind in my hair,
And the ground beneath my feet, slipping away.
And for one moment, I am weightless.
Physics and gravity, never obeyed.
With a squeak and crack the good feeling disappeared.
Suddenly, I am falling.
And nobody's here.
Then my feet hit the ground, and all is OK.
I run inside to tell everyone,
That nothing went wrong.
Even with the painful sensation,
I still swing on.

I was inspired to write this peice on a sunny afternoon in my backyard. I was just swinging on the swings when it hit me. This is the product of my experience on a swing.
