I Want it to be Real
I don't want you to tell me you love me and I don't want you to tell me I'm pretty.
I want you to hold me close and protect me when I feel like my world is crashing down. I want you to hold my hand in public and show everyone that I'm yours and you're not embarrassed by that. I want you to kiss me when you're proud of me and laugh when I'm doing something funny even if I look stupid. I want you to love me instead of telling me words that could have a completely different meaning if we wanted them to. I want you to make me feel like I'm beautiful because I'm working my hardest to show you I love you and it makes it a lot harder when my actions aren't reciprocated. words are just words and we have just made them up so I do I know you're not just doing the same. how could I know for sure unless you prove what you keep saying to me over and over again. "I love you" begins to lose it's meaning if you keep throwing it around at every problem and at every fight. if you throw it around at every tear and every scream it starts to make my smiles fade instead of appear because "I love you" could just be "I'm sorry" or "I don't know what to say".
