It Will Last Forever
you told me you would love me until your heart could no longer hold an emotion you wished to execute. you told me you would hold me until your arms felt as if they could no longer hold more than the weight of a feather. you told me you would kiss me until your lips were numb and you could no longer speak a language that people could understand. you told me you would look at no one else. and I guess I stopped listening after that because I don't recall you saying "until my eyes lose focus and I need readjust them so the world isn't completely off limits to me". and you looked at her, which makes sense, because you were staring at me, a broken record who said I love you so much it lost it's meaning and became an annoying sound. because you were staring at me, something broken, and people don't like to star at broken things for too long.
but, that will always be our past. and I will always remember you as the person that held me and kissed me and loved me. because that's who you were. and it will be the past and it will last forever.
