Sweat, sweat swelter
Fiery hot sun beams down
Slog, slog, stomp
Fight to work, work to live
Ache, ache, anguish
Carrying basins along the shore
Trudge, trudge, tramp
Pounds of water, like rocls over our heads
Scrub, scrub, scour
Washing much off of clothes
Squish, squish, scrunch
Slimy mud between our toes
Droop, droop drowsy
Along the river for hours
Sticky, sticky, steamy
Water dribbling down my back
Clamber, clamber, crawl
Up the hill then down again
Struggle, struggle, stress
Fight to work, work to live
