Oh, but to be able to fly!
Oh, but to be able to fly!
Imagine the feeling of mending with the blue.
What would we do if we couldn’t die?
But when would we stop? Just how high?
It’s so intriguing, to not have a clue.
Oh, but to be able to fly!
Would we escape every good-bye,
Or watch as we struggled with every breath we drew?
What would we do if we couldn’t die?
So how hard to we have to try
To go where everyone who went before us flew?
Oh, but to be able to fly!
Being up there, no one would cry.
While we are still on the ground, we should feel that too.
What would we do if we couldn’t die?
Will we never go into the sky?
To be truthful, we always knew.
Oh, but to be able to fly!
What would we do if we couldn’t die?
