"Do not pray for an easy life, pray for the strength to endure a difficult one."

My heart is a birdhouse

Home to the most cheery chickadee

Chirping away in the most euphonious symphony,

But falling silent when it finds no song to sing in me.

"On such days, I’m afraid I’m no place for thee;

And it would be

Much more befitting if thee would evolve

Into a melancholy mourning dove."

An eye for an eye will make the whole world blind....

This one is a good example of metaphor and better than the previous one and the suggestion over this poem is that "don't use old words when they fail to give preciousness to the poem". You can see the same suggestions in review panel of my poem "smidgen smile "

I love the entire metaphor of this poem, how the various birds that enter the heart represent different emotions and sentiments, and how our heart is merely a place that holds them. Great job with this, it's definitely a poem that makes you think. Keep up the good work :)
