You Never Really Saw Me
You never really saw me
We knew you were blind
But still you knew your sight was the key
Every morning
I wake up scared you will never see
Through judgmental eyes it’s impossible
You never really saw me
Walking proud with still a trembling knee
And a short worried face that someone would notice
But still you knew your sight was the key
Beyond the features
What was there to be?
Just someone looking to be accepted
You never really saw me

This poem is to target bullying and see how much bullying can affect someone. I want everyone to know that everyone is beautiful in there own way. Beauty comes naturally within. This poem is a Villanelle i wrote for my Creative Writing class.
