Sweaty Palms
His knees are weak,
and his lips dry.
His palms are sweaty,
his eyes cry.
His heart pounds,
and his fingers shake.
His whole body rattles,
like an earthquake.
His throat is arid,
his breath is stale.
And everyone around him watches,
as his skin turns pale.
His eyes dart frantically,
his arms grow weary.
His lungs burn for oxygen,
and his eyes become gray and dreary.
His head starts to spin,
his brain turning off.
As he blinks his eyes,
he hears them all scoff.
He leaves his feet,
the bones break in his back.
He sees them before he closes his eyes,
and then everything turns black.
