Imagine
Imagine
That we are not the only ones,
Going through the same things.
Think about our current situation;
How we only see each other
Through computer screens,
Stroking smooth cold edges
And wishing somehow
That it could be your
Soft and calloused hand.
Imagine
That we are going to be together soon
And visit our favorite restaurant
Eating crisp salad and fluffy bread
Our cheeks becoming sore from smiling
Ear-to-ear
As our lungs try to keep up with our chuckling and giggling.
Imagine
Tha we are together right now
Holding each other
In the tightest of embraces,
The corners of our lips tilted up,
As we lay under a thick, cotton blanket
And sleeping away everything of our past,
Because, dear,
Imagine
The rest of our lives start now.
