Stop Looking and Start Waiting

The sun is shining on my window
as the snow is falling on the grass
The beauty of sunset on a snowy evening
is too much for me to handle
Tears are running down my cheeks
like a waterfall rushing down the valley.
The laughter outside somehow seems unreal to me
Many couples are holding hands
with their hot coffee,
as they walk down the street.
Smiling,
so happy as they look into each other eyes so passionately.
I laugh at myself.
How could I be so stupid?
There is no Cupid.
Looking for love
is like looking for a shooting star.
Shakespeare once said
'It is not in the stars to hold our destiny but in ourselves.'
I wipe my last tear with the wet overused tissue.
I stand up from my bed and turn on my light.
I look into the mirror.
I smile as I can barely recognize myself
with black mascara smeared all over my face.
I knew right then that it was going to be okay
I decided from this point on,
That I'm done'
I'm done looking for love.
But instead, I'll wait'
I'll wait until whenever destiny
decides to knock on my door.

&quot;How could an Alice girl like me,<br /> Love a Hatter as mad as you?&quot;

i've looked and i've tried so many times to find loves its not worth it any more, i felt like my heart can't be fixed any more, it won't break anymore, too much... too much heart break, too many days crying myself to sleep, too little love for myself back then. it won't help. just wait and see just wait till he comes and kisses you good night, just wait till he startes hugging you in his arms and kisses you on the nose, and wipes ur tears away when they're there. just wait

waiting is great and a great way to start loving someone. i've found him after 4-5 years of heartbreak. many will, even if they lock love out. they will find it someday and some way.

To love is to risk not being loved in return. To hope is to risk pain. To try is to risk failure, but the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing..

This is really pretty!!!! =....))

thanks, unearthlyhaphazard! Yeah I wrote this when I was sort of heart broken... and I was trying to be whatever about it. My best friend told me just to let love come and stop looking for it and guard my heart more... yeah :)

I completely agree with this poem. I like how by the end she decides to just go with the flow of life. Love the fifteenth and the sixteenth lines!
