What If We Were Real?

What if we lived with vulnerable hearts?
What if we walked around showing our scars?
What if we shattered, what if we broke;
and instead of hiding it, let others look?
Let them gather around
As we kneel on the ground
Or we scream at the sky.
What if we didn't try-
to put on porcelain masks?
What if we were real?
That's all that I ask.
