The Hearse
Once upon a lonely night I write a stricken verse,
With naught but little whispers, like a deadly curse,
Filled with loneliness and despair, I sat there and rehearsed,
When 5 stories below me, pulls up a haunting hearse,
which seems to whisper, “Join me”.
I ignore the possessed vehicle, and return to my despair,
I feel very stressed and depressed, and I pull my hair,
Once again I hear a voice, and it says, “If you dare,”
Once again I look below me and see the damned hearse
which seems to whisper, “Join me”.
I realize my depression, my life’s a living hell,
Did anyone ever love me? I guess I’ll never tell,
I walked towards the ledge, jumped and slowly fell,
Flying, falling, down 5 stories, towards the friendly hearse,
which seems to whisper, “Join me”.
