Rivers of Essence
Stepping across the strip of land
Between the two rivers in this mind stand
One clearly me and the other a dupe,
The false takes over when forced in large groups
This water is murky, simple, and lurid
Worry and fear live here in this fluid
Here it was learned how to stop singing
And shut people out, my trust in them ceasing
But the genuine side is joyful and bright
Songs through rapids and currents take flight
With laughter, these waters shriek and convulse
Giving the air a content and steady pulse
Two bodies of water, they suddenly blend
Bringing all knowledge of myself to an end
The waters they surge angrily towards me
Away from their wrath I frantically flee
In their embrace, I am now prisoner
Cries of joy emit from the mouth of the victor
My combined rivers two, furious at me
Rush over my head, ignoring my frantic plea
