Peace : Poem 1 of my Six : Spoken Word Poetry anthology
The only time both my heart and mind are calm,
Almost empty but in a day dream way.
A day dream where I do nothing but sit,
Sit in the silence and actually like it.
My thoughts are floating and not screaming through,
A rare feeling that I seldom hold.
So I’m Scared of doing anything or speaking to anyone that might just ruin this rare serenity,
This serenity I wish could last eternity.
I’m not even wishing or thinking of the future though
Just lying here pretending that the peace won’t be gone.

Basically I wrote six poems intended to be read aloud in a certain way (spoken word). The catch was each poem had to get it's title from a word or phrase from the previous poem (except the first one of course). This is the first one and it's titled peace.
