Ode to My Mom
Oh mother
An artistic sunflower
Who does not smother
You are a queen in a tower
Not trash in a gutter
No needed to be rescued like a delicate flower
Out the window you flutter
You got out of the the tower
With C-4 and bolt cutters
With brute force and power
You will speak loud, not sputter
It is now your hour
Do not shutter
You have the nuclear power
You can now discover
Don’t become sour
Love, Your baby sunflower

I was inspired to write this piece for my mom. It was her birthday and I wanted to give her something unique.
