Judge, Jury, and Executioner
What an onerous task
Still writing this even though the due date is passed
Better late than never, honestly
But I keep writing, doggedly
About my life, about my brain
Am I truly going insane?
I am run down, vacant
Some would say I’m dilapidated
At first I seem amiable
But I’m overrun with insecurities, undeniable
From how I act to my clothes
Tawny, full of holes
To the voices that scream
Evil, antagonistic things
Now you’re privy to my secret
Can I trust you to keep it?
I am in sync with this poetry game
Once I leave, it’ll never be the same
Writing and rhyming
Perfect timing
I’m growing; photosynthesis
Talk about overwhelming emphasis
I must go now, I must leave
We can’t deny this
Inevitability
With that said, leave me be
Final verdict: Guilty
