I went to bed late last night,
My ego soared as high as a windblown kite.
But as I lay today in bed.
I feel this emptiness ringing in my head.
I didn’t feel confident, cocky or loud,
I just felt quiet, and sluggish, as if under a raincloud.
What happened last night?
I exclaim in fright.
What could’ve happened to make me think,
I’m not a delight.
