Wrong Time of Year
No one wants the ball to drop
In the middle of a summer night
No one wants to make a toast
When the time just isn’t right
No one’s counting down to midnight
When midnight’s nowhere near
No one celebrates New Year’s Day
In the middle of the year
No couples are feeding each other chocolates
No couples are getting all cheesy
No singles are feeling uncomfortable
No singles are feeling all queasy
No one’s writing romantic cards
No one’s going on expensive dates
No one celebrates Valentine's Day
On September the twenty eighth
No one’s setting off fireworks
No one’s having a barbeque
No one’s getting all patriotic
Well… apparently, except for you
No smoke bombs, sparklers, bottle rockets
No fireworks will fly
No one celebrates July the fourth
When it isn’t the fourth of July
As you can see, you’ve got it all wrong
Celebrating holidays at the wrong time of year
No one likes… hey, wait a minute
What’s that Christmas tree doing here?

I read a poem about Christmas in July, so I decided to make one similar to it, including holidays such as New Year's Day, Valintines Day, and the Fourth of July.
