The Man
He is silent when he wants to be.
But in that silence I know he loves me.
The only time he speaks is when he is intrigued.
His random thoughts are definitely out of my league.
He never fails to make me smile.
His laugh is a different kind of style.
I cannot help but pause,
When he laughs and his stomach bounces like jolly, ole Santa Claus.
He has a lot of rules,
But my pawpaw is still pretty cool.
He never dresses to impress,
But I know he is the best.
He is bald but makes jokes about having hair.
His skin is the opposite of fair.
He loves all five of his girls
And enjoys when I am rocking my curls.
He always encourages me to stay me
By constantly telling me I am pretty.
Car rides are often scary
When he turns the corner I become very wary.
He is the calm to my mawmaw’s crazy,
And my love for him and his weirdness are never hazy.
He always seems to have the right tools
When dealing with our changing girlie moods.
To close this up without sounding cheesy,
I am thankful for my Pawpaw and I know life without him would never be easy.
