What will never be
The temptaion of what could be
is far too great
For if i act upon it
myself, I may hate
The chemistry is crazy
almost too much to bare
Tell him how I feel?
No, I wouldn't dare!
I will never tell my secret
the words will remain unspoken
Im doing this for us
Two hearts that will remain unbroken
Yet how can I say us?
When there is no you and I
You speak to me when spoken too
but I hardly catch your eye
I wish i knew your thoughts
your every wish and desire
but I know that won't happen
just like this feeling won't expire
Im dreaming up in la-la land
When reality is where I should be
cause the thought of us together
is inconceiveable to me
You don't make me any promises
nor tell me any lies
Yet when you look me in the face
do you see this feeling inside?
I've tried to build a wall
to keep you from finding out
the minute i let my guard down
you'll realize what I'm about
I wish I could mirror your emotions
stick to it through and through
even if I could do that tell me,
what would it prove?
I'm gonna fight this feeling
for as long as I possibly can
cause I will never be your girl
and you will never be my man
