My daddy served in the army
I would love to see you one time, to touch your skin; feel it on mine. I know your not there and life's not fair. To know that you'll never be mine.
I don't see you ever, when I had a bad day. So much for my troubles just melting away. I miss your smile, just to see you laugh. Then mommy and I saw your staff.
"We had a bad day, Your dad has left, he's gone away." He went to work and he served with pride. I know we'll all miss his eyes.
I looked at my picture of my daddy and Brie, will he ever miss me? Mommies face got all red; her eyes got so puffy. I started feeling my nose get all stuffy.
then I realized Daddy is gone, so I decided I'd write him a song. I miss his letters, Mommy finally stopped knitting him sweaters. I would sing this with him in harmony, be he had to go serve you and my country.
Brie loves you daddy<3
