The meaning of love
All my life, I've been told
False I love you with no meaning behind the words
And I was always enlightened with
Tainted truths, but
Through the confusion
I found you.
You’ve always been there,
Even when I thought you weren't,
But now I see the bigger picture.
Thank you for what you've done and
Thanks for loving me.
I just hope you know that
For the first time
I see how much I love you.
It took me sixteen years
To see the truth,
To unwind myself from the twisted web of lies, but
Now I'm free!
Sorry I used to blame you.
I hope you'll forgive me.
I just wanted to say that
Through all the heartbreak and confusion
You showed me the meaning of
I love you.
