Liar Hidden in the Mirror
Had you ever noticed?
What lies all around you?
Broken pieces, shattered glass?
From the tantrum that you threw?
And yet you find it sane?
I have to re arrange your head!
All of the lies, the cheats,
All of the I likes that you said?
A mirror on the wall remains untouched.
But what you see is not yours.
Putting hooks on girls, sinking into their souls,
And use their tears like lures?
A creature is on the prowl at night
But what you see is not too becoming...
Calling them outcasts, freaks of nature,
Their ugliness is what you're shunning?
Oh, you think you're the cunning one?
I never said a word to provoke you!
But I knew it would come to pass
That all of those happy days of holding hands
Were never meant to last.
That look in your eyes when I saw you.
Was of embarrassment, not friends.
But each time I was being beaten down,
You never fought to the end!
You stood back and let it happen!
And never said a word to me...
But look back in the mirror in front of you,
Is a liar what you see?
So try to make good first impressions,
And never let girls take the hit.
But the happiness inside my soul now?
I will never again let you steal it!
