Hourglass
Today I found lost myself again
And I discovered I was searching
For really nothing at all
Everything was right in front of me
I had nothing that could go wrong
But that was something that could never last
Because I had broken the hourglass
Everything once so precious to me
Had begun to slip right through my hands
A part of me had been buried long ago
And now I'm drifting on alone in this snow
Another memory has come to pass
As I tip this new hourglass
Drag me down and curse my name
I'll never feel your worthless shame
Because I am an individual all my own
For far too long I have not shone
The stars in space may burn out
The sun may cast a glow upon someone new
The moon may not show these feelings I had with you
New life is breathing inside of me
Unexpected in it's wake
Now my love I must chase
Right from wrong the lines are blurred to me
So if I'm looking blind than you be the one to see
That I cannot fight this battle as just one
Because the dream will come undone
You don't need to wear a mask or hide your scars
I just want you to love me, and stay just the way you are
