The Warrior's Curse

I no longer live for combat
or the bitter winds of war,
I no longer possess the cowardice
to take a life anymore
My heart, it yearns for love
Yet my mind will not forget
It reminds me, I am not worthy,
of even a meager friend
I am wary of my sins
I will forever more repent,
And hope i will be forgiven
to be welcomed at the end
