One Last Second
Hospital bed, you lie awake
Lips turned upward, for my sake
Color in your eyes, slip away
Your words progress, "I will stay"
We share a knowledge, we know
In short time, you must go
I clutch your hand, praying for time
One more day, I just made you mine
Warmth of your skin, turns to ice
"One second" your lips say "will suffice"
"One last second, before I'm threw
One last second, I fall for you
One last second, I hold on
One last second, where I belong
One last second, I will not undo
One last second, I love you"
Tears pleading for a last embrace
Lips begging to kiss your face
One last second, your life embarks
You soul abandons me, into the dark
Softly, softly you depart
Quickly, quietly, from my heart

Hey Invisibleheart,
I really like this poem because it is really sweet and honest but also very sad. How are you?
