Lightening Storm
As the sky darkened
And the thunder rolled in
I gathered on the porch
Waiting for the lightening show
To begin lighting up the dark sky
While the thunder drummed in,
Slowly, and soon became so loud
Most people would Jolt awake
Like an electrical volt
Had just ran through their body
While the lightening flashed
My adrenaline started pumping
And a giant smile light up my face
For the thunder and lightening shows
Were the best part of the summer
I waited for them and loved watching
Them do their thing all night long.
There was nothing better than this.
