Lost Friend
Little toes, little paws
Little fingers, tiny claws
Days go by, memories grow
Nothing lasts forever, now I know
Time goes by, time never heals
Life brings happiness, death only steals
Today is the day, I lost my best friend
Good times quickly come to a bitter end
You were a friend that listened, a friend that cared
Chased away all that I feared
Stood by me, when the world walked out
Always believed in me, no room for doubt
Emptiness in my life, where you lack
I throw a ball now, that you can’t bring back
