Our Garage Fire
A place where supplies are stored
Things hang on the walls with hooks
Each object organized and in place
Telling their story like books
It was a regular December morning,
But everything changed that day
A fire started,
And every object was taken away
The garage was drowning in smoke
Everything was covered in black soot
The back of my dad’s car was completely destroyed
It barely missed the house, only by a foot
We had to replace everything in our garage
And it took a long time to dig ourselves out of this dirt
But we are lucky the fire did not touch the rest of our home
And thankful no one got hurt
