Just outside my Heart
The sun is going down,
and so am I, I guess,
I wear my clothing and a frown,
nothing more.. nothing less.
My heart is sinking too,
into the depths of the other side,
Maybe there it can shine like the sun,
or maybe it'll hide.
My eyes are fixed on a tree,
its skinny and its bark is grey,
kinda like the body of me,
and my face the past two days.
My sniffles are forcefully hushed,
by the will of not being heard,
my cheeks are not being brushed,
because you would think that absurd
My eyes are tired and narrow,
from crying almost all day,
my stomach flutters like a sparrow,
who cannot find its way.
Maybe my bed can comfort me,
and swallow me to sleep,
and there Ill dream of sanity,
where Ill never have to weep.
