The Lyrics of Love
I'm hanging on to those words,
that I heard so long ago,
trying to echo them into my thoughts,
like they still affect you so.
Love is a lyrical melody,
brought out by actions,
and apologies made by the innocent.
Love is a lyrical melody,
that all of the people can hear,
Some choose to sing along,
but some just watch in fear.
I sang with the melody,
and you once sang with it too,
We sang together,
and made the world our fools.
I sang out the lyrics,
and you played your lovely guitar
the world was at our feet
But, we watched it from afar.
But, the strings on your guitar,
must have fell out of tune,
because those words that I hang on,
aren't coming out anytime soon..
Your off tuning your guitar,
and I'm still stuck on the same song,
you bet Ill be singing it,
until you come on home.
