A Childs Eyes
As the childs eyes opened anew
Through time they grew
Past the nights and morning dew
Oh how the seconds flew
As the careless eyes did their strut
To patience the lashes stayed shut
Soon its gaze fell upon a beautiful lie
Thats when the child learned how to cry
Day and day the eyes would weep
Towards its heart the pain began to creep
The eyes began to fade
As its happiness it began to trade
But the love it thought to be true
Its end was long over due
It wastched as the clouds shifted
And the sky was once again lifted
Like the days when everything anew
And the pain was so few
Because the love it thought to be true
Left a weakening hue
Oh how the eyes fell
As time broke the wicked spell
A love it thought to be right
Did not put up a fight
Oh how low was its might
To the suns awakening bite
