Broken Promises
You hold her while she’s crying
You stop her hope from dying
She told you to go away
She says she'd hold you down one day
You promise you would never go
You tell her that she could know
Your promise is true
She could count on you
But listen to the rest
You kinda just left
You find others that are better
Then you kinda just left her
Long her days have grown
You left her all alone
Your relationship faded away
You didn't know she'd need you someday
Then her life broke
As old pain awoke
She remembered when you said
You'd never leave her for dead
She dialed your phone
But she should have known
You didn't want her
You didn't answer
Sadly your chosen quiet
Didn't stop her life's riot
In her bathroom she stood
Knowing life wasn't good
Without guidance from you
She didn't know what to do
Her mistakes piled up
Until she had enough
Then that necklace of rope
Stifled all her hope
You were hanging with your new friend
When you heard about my end
You saw me on your T.V.
See what you did to me?
Your eyes scan my lifeless body
See what you did to me?
You broke your promise, you see
See what you did to me?
My ghost hangs heavy in the air
You wished you had cared
Before I fell off
Before I made it stop
