Addicts
Drowning our lives one drink to another,
Addictions and vices just never get better,
We hope and we cope with our razors and dreams,
These lives are so fragile devoured by greed,
These years that we’re given are gone in a flash,
All we regret are mistakes of the past.
Never again will our mind hold us back,
Never again will our emotions make us crack.
We’ll be hollow and empty robots and machines,
We’ll swallow these pills down with sorrow and grief
Now our smiles are frozen in place at the feet,
Of hard golden idols of glamour and fleece.
