Stains
I remember-
words spoken
I remember emotion like yesterday
growing, unknowingly dying
The flame still burning for you,
even though I know I must let go.
Words silent kept to yourself.
Hearts broken.
It'll be okay," you say.
You don't know the feeling.
"But how do you know for certain?"
For you, the torch is still burning.
Words leave wounds open, fresh,
said for reasons I'd rather forget.
Feelings fade,
I remember emotion behind the rhings we used to say,
now all that's left is stains.
My heart
bends, breaks, feels pain.
My silent pleas, of stay, I miss you, said so sweetly
Hoping you'll change your mind.
He says, Don't worry, rolls so smoothly off his lips,
lies bitter on his tongue.
You hate him, you love him, even when he doesn't.
Mixed emotions.
Pulled the strings stitched up
worn frayed.
never forget the things that make us, us.
My heart played
feelings remained
feelings given, taken.
Hearts broken, feelings open,
feelings unknown,
feelings I can't let go.
Feeling shown, hidden stays, goes,
gone in an instand if you can't hold.
Even if you asked me to, I won't.
Feelings fade,
bittersweet.
Never stays, but still stained.
Feeling linger imperfect through my fingers, and no regrets
because I won't and I don't.
Stains stay, forever changed, but not forgotten.
