Edge of Silver MAG

At the edge of silver is a tunnel
with lanes too narrow to drive through.
The past is in my glove compartment,
safe and sound but hidden away.
Today’s gray is almost over,
and tomorrow awaits nothing but green.
Yet again, midnight comes,
whispering fairy tales and songs.
But it’s nothing I haven’t heard already
from the river down the road.
