Someone Gets It
You sit under the willow tree
Sitting under the swaying branches
Wondering if you'll ever do anything right.
You sleep under the night sky
Sleeping under the stars so high above
Asking if you'll ever stop being a misfit.
You live in a world
A world so full of nature
Yet you hear such negative voices.
There are times you want to shout
To scream from the tallest, coldest peak
Just to hear it echo back to yourself.
As the wind cuts away at your face
As the bitter chill seeps into your arms
You simply wrap your jacket tighter.
You think you are alone in this world
Alone with the trees, sky, and mountains
The stunning sunsets touch the horizon
Streaking the sky with colors
As you watch across the ocean waters.
There may be nothing around you
Nothing to understand you
But someone gets it.
Someone gets it.
Out there, in the world
Oh, the world so full of nature
Even if you never meet.

This is a short poem about how sometimes you'll never see things right in front of you, espaically the things you need.
