Cloudy Skies
I’ve realized my days without you
Have been cold and cloudy,
Why can’t we just go back,
Back to when things were warm
In the fall I fell for you all over again
Just like the leaves falling from the tree
When I see you in the halls
I feel like a fresh sunburn
Red and swarming with heat
I want the storm to stop
No more rain, no more thunder
A single ray of sunshine
To break through the clouds
A ray of hope, bursting through
The gray, looming clouds
Giving me a glimpse of a better
Path filled with nothing
But clear skies
