the wonderful secrets of a blackberry.
a blackberry field has speckles of dark,
with the sweetness staying hidden.
leafy greens conceal berries,
but peeled away is the intense
color of the fruit.
to judge a fruit before its taste,
seeing the outside and concluding
that it is not worth trying,
reveals the face of a coward.
with no strength to dive deeper,
you might not get through the thorns.
