The Past and a Better Tomorrow
The shape of the past fits inside the window of of a house.
A small part of the whole,
but making a huge difference on the appearance of the house inside and out.
Your window is dark, not letting any light get in.
Your past was dark and when you jump into the present,
you’ll land in a curtain of darkness preventing the light of others from getting in.
Join me in tomorrow, the better.
At the top of tomorrow waits the smiling sun,
to create a new story with a better ending.
The rock bottom of October never will brighten up
into the cheerful summer sun and colorful flowers scattered below.
But if it tiptoes through the Valley of Happiness,
it might find the sun smiling and waiting to greet it.
The sadness of puppies is the tears
streaming down the cheeks of someone with a broken heart.
The antonym of pink is black,
the color of hatred and darkness replacing love and happiness.
You are the black sadness of puppies, but you can change it.
At the edge of silver is a gleam of light,
stretching miles and miles shining in the right direction.
Follow that light and join me in a better tomorrow.
