Code Triple Rainbow
It was the average day of fourth grade,
I did what I had to do, with a migraine.
Before music class,
I ask to go to the nurse,
I was excused and went down.
Sitting in her office,
I remain there for hours,
Waiting for the day to end.
After a few naps and some water,
the nurse told me to go to the back circle.
I walk and I walk down the long hall,
To just throw up all on the wall.
Puking in front of the cafeteria,
Made me want to move to Nigeria.
Hearing all the remarks,
“Ew,” “Gross,” and “Ew!”
Made me want to cry.
Then comes over a lady,
So nice and kind,
Calling over her radio
“Code double rainbow”
The office calls me to the back,
Where my dad is waiting.
But, I can’t go because of the mess I am creating.
Then the lady pulls out her radio
And says “Make that triple rainbow”
The mess was so big,
The lady was so nice,
I wish I didn’t throw up on her twice.
