The Future
So many moments,
That we haven’t lived yet.
So many stories,
Yet to be told.
How many smiles of yours have I yet to see?
How many sides to you remain a mystery?
I want to know all of you,
The good, the bad, and new.
I want to be there when those moments hit the forge,
With laughter in the air; your hands in my hair.
I want to be there when those stories are being written,
Smiles kept hidden, your lips touching my skin.
The future holds so many possibilities,
At least a dozen or so with you and me.
And gods I hope to be there as you discover,
Your friend, yourself, and your potential next lover.
