Snow Day
I love to watch the snow fall down
And feel the softness on my skin
And as it heaps into a mound
I have no desire to go in
It shines so bright against the night
Its graceful fluttering down to earth
Makes me stop to see the sight
And makes my life full of worth.
In the morn when I wake
I see that glistening snow awaits
And looking at the frozen lake
I run down stairs to get my skates
When I step outside the world is still
And when my feet touch the powdered snow
I begin to feel an icy chill
After playing mother calls, I have to go
Inside my house im freezing cold
But sitting by the fire I begin to warm
My hot coco is hard to hold
And outside it looks like quite a storm
And as the sun starts to set
The snow shimmers orange and blue
Luckily it does not melt yet.
Tomorrow I know what I’m going to do.
